Show Canada what your company can do!
The Imagemakers Competition sponsored by the Sign Association of Canada is designed to give recognition to Canadian sign and image manufacturers for special achievements in business identification, promotion of corporate image and marketing of products and services through visual communication. The objective of this competition is to encourage and promote excellence in the Canadian Commercial Imagemaking Industry.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
All submitted entries will be on prominent display at the Consac "Imagemakers" 2011 Trade Show and Conference. Floor space within the actual exhibit area has been allocated to showcase the amazing talent within our industry.
A Premiere Award and an Award of Merit will be presented in each category. There will also be a trophy awarded to the Best of Show honouree.
In addition all winning entries will be featured in the fall 2011 issue of the "Imagemakers" Resource Guide, and posted for one year on the Sign Association of Canada's web site.
ELIGIBILITY
This is a national competition and is open to all Class 1 SAC Members within the sign and commercial imaging making industry. Each project may be entered in one category only.
To be eligible, a submission must have been designed and built in the year preceding August 2011, and include all the entry requirements. Submissions need not be designed by the manufacturer/fabricator, but the designer must grant permission to use the image in the contest. The Sign Association of Canada reserves the right to change an entry's category as necessary. All entries will remain the property of the Sign Association of Canada, including all rights for reproduction and use in the Imagemakers Resource Guides.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- A digital file of the entry (minimum size 2200 X 2800 pixels, or 300 dpi)
- Completed entry form with the category clearly indicated
- Written permission from the designer to use the image in this contest if the entry was not designed by the manufacturer/fabricator
- All submissions must be received by September 3, 2011
- For multiple pictures of the same entry, please zip pictures into one folder, then submit.
ADJUDICATION
A panel of industry experts has been assembled to determine the winners in each category.
JUDGING CRITERIA
Entries in each category will be evaluated upon the following criteria:
- The project's appearance
- Innovative use of materials and technology
- Professional quality, appearance, and creativity of the design
- Design compatibility with building or structure
AWARDS PRESENTATION CEREMONY
The names of the winners will be announced and the awards presented at the Annual General Meeting on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the International Centre in Toronto.
