Navigating Through the City of Toronto New Sign Bylaws
Presented by: Ted Van Vliet, Manager Sign Bylaw Unit

Ted is the Manager of the new sign bylaw unit formed by the City of Toronto. Through an initiative with the City of Toronto, the new sign bylaw unit was created to meet the needs of the industry and also Council with respect to the regulation of signage.

This hands on workshop will guide you through the new procedures that have taken place with respect to the applications for sign permits, installations and inspections within the City of Toronto. The many changes with respect to the way a sign permit application is reviewed and issued will be clarified.

This two part workshop will begin looking at the procedures for applying for a sign permit, reviewing the requirements and outlining the key fundamentals for a successful application and permit issuance.

The workshop will then do a forensic analysis of the new sign bylaw, reviewing the key changes, outlining the reasons for some of the changes and giving you the tools to interpret and implement.

Discussions will also focus on the proposed enhancements at the City including the new ON LINE permit application procedures currently under development.

No person who conducts business with, or intends to do work in the City of Toronto should miss this workshop!
